Growing up I was very passionate about sports, I played volleyball and basketball through high school. After graduating I felt like the competitive part of me had no outlet. I got married, graduated college with an exercise and wellness degree, and had my first kid. I relied on running to stay in shape but I didn’t love it and I felt like progress was slow and minimal. I knew there had to be something better for me. After I had my second baby I gave crossfit a try. My first wod was Fight Gone Bad. It was absolutely horrible and I was hooked! Crossfit gave me a place where competition against others, but mostly myself, was encouraged! And instead of focusing on losing weight we focused on getting strong. It was empowering! I have been crossfitting since late 2013 and have loved every minute. I competed for about a year and made it to the crossfit regionals in 2015 as an alternate. Since having my third baby I am now motivated to help others improve at crossfit! Helping other people accomplish things they never thought possible is amazing!
