Winner of the Paleo Challenge! Becky lost 16 Inches Total!


Strength, determination, motivation, confidence… these are just some of the words that come to mind when I think about what CrossFit Incite has done for me.  I am 33 years old and a mother of 4.  I had been running, going to the gym and playing volleyball, but something was missing.  I wanted better results from my workouts, but I didn’t know how. I began attending classes at CrossFit Incite in May of 2012. The thing I noticed most about the workout of the day was the intensity.  Going all out made a huge difference in my workouts. The workouts are tough!  Just getting through one was challenging not just physically but mentally as well.  More intensity = Better results and bigger rewards.  Since starting at CrossFit Incite, I have lost 15 pounds and over 16 inches. I cleaned up my eating habits by following the Paleo diet. When I started at CrossFit Incite I was using a band to help me do pullups.   In the past 8 months I’ve gone from using heavy bands to lighter and lighter bands and now I am able to do unassisted pullups.  No bands!  My mile time has improved by a minute and a half. I can now back squat 195 pounds, deadlift 245 pounds and shoulder press 95 pounds. I feel strong and confident!

Another amazing part of CrossFit Incite is the camaraderie.  We cheer each other on, help each other improve skills and work hard together. We are CrossFit family!

Starting CrossFit was one of the best things that I have ever done for myself. Seeing all these results keeps me motivated and coming back for more. CrossFit is not just an exercise program it’s a way of life!

Testimonial of a New Mother/CrossFitter

I am a mother of an 11 month old and have been attending CrossFit Incite for 3 months. Before I got pregnant I was actively running, playing in soccer and volleyball leagues, and participating in any other physical activities. Once I was ready to start working out again after the baby I knew I had a long road ahead of me. I started my usual running again but everything hurt! I kept telling myself running would get easier once I lost the extra 50 pounds. I heard of Crossfit but was intimidated because I knew I would be starting at the bottom. Starting at CrossFit Incite helped me see what my body could do when pushed to the max. I definitely started at the bottom, but Coach Derrick and my CrossFit Incite family never made me feel that way. We are all different sizes and shapes and that’s what I love! We are in competition with ourselves and have a team to cheer us on!

In the 3 months of CrossFit I have gone from 188 pounds to 170 pounds. I went from a size 14 in jeans to a size 10. I’ve lost 15 inches all over my body with 4 inches being the most at my waist. I have gained strength and technique in my lifting (deadlifting 220#, front squating 175# and back squatting 225#). Although I may be about 20 pounds heavier than my pre-pregnancy goal weight, I am down to my normal jean size and I look and feel better in my clothes. I have shed over a minute and half off my one mile time, I am almost able to do unassisted pull ups, I am clearing the 24 inch box jumps, and I can do double unders now.

What makes me get up at 5am and do it all over again? The butterflies in my stomach that I used to get before a race or a soccer game. The friends I’ve made who are doing it with me – all at different levels. The motivation Coach Derrick gives when he yells COME ON CAITLIN!!! The terrified feeling I get walking in and the accomplished feeling I have walking out. Most importantly, the way I feel knowing I can get down on the ground and play with my little boy and keep up with him as he learns and grows. I stand a little taller and smile a little bigger thanks to CrossFit Incite.
